“What must I do to be saved?”

Two thousand years ago a troubled jailer asked, “what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30). This is the most important question anyone can ask. Why do we need to be saved? Because of the evils in this world, but especially because of our own faults and failures. We often feel guilty for things we’ve said and things we’ve done—things that we know are wrong. We sense that we deserve God’s judgment.

So what can be done to save us from our helpless situation?
